Updated because of feels.

So, if you read this post, you would’ve noticed I said they rejected me, this is the email I sent them a year ago when they asked if someone could join them:
it was translated by google
Good afternoon,
I think you are doing a fairly new concept in Mexico that many people would appreciate (hence your millions of cumulative views on YouTube) and it did not exist in such a way as to be practiced and united in a single medium. But, to send you compliments really is not the reason for my mail.
The real reason is that I would like to be able to do something with you, some video, or some article on your page, etc. I guess you do not randomly grab people from the internet to write or record your content, then, I would like to tell you who I am and why I feel I could contribute to your concept ...
My name is Francisco, I am 19 years old and in August I am going to start my university studies to become an engineer in mechatronics and production. Since I’ve been a child, I’ve had a great passion for cars, motorcycles, planes, and journalism (in fact my two career options were engineering and journalism). At age 16 I wrote for a few months (really thanks to levers, hehe) in Parentesis.com, one of your competitors. The reason why I stopped was because I did not have the maturity to understand some things about the office, schedules and the limitations of my driving license for minors. However, I feel that I now have it.
In more professional subjects, I speak English and French apart from Spanish, however, my grammar in the two Romance languages is ... ahem ... bad. I have visited the autoshow in Geneva, I have handled a wide variety of vehicles (from armored trucks to old mercedei) and I have more than five years of experience driving all-terrain, in my free time I usually write fiction and articles about cars, transportation, and policy, despite not publishing them.
I graduated from high school with business, history, and IB literature in English (We were told they were college courses)
My passion for vehicles and journalism are the reason why I feel I could contribute to your concept. Leaving my mark and being able to do what I love in the process is a great motivator that, I feel, could lead me to great articles and videos for your concept.
I’ve always liked automotive journalism, pages like top gear, jalopnik, and drivetribe have a big impact on my data consumption, and I do not miss a program or video of theirs. It is true that each page has its style and enjoy different types of authors, so I will copy the parenthesis publications that (incredibly) are still online.
With this I say goodbye, however, if you are interested in seeing more articles that I have written (but not published) just have to answer this email and your wishes will be my orders ... I hope to hear from you soon,
and these are the actual things I wrote and published in a a website

What say you, Demuro?
Or is he more of a Regular Car Reviews type?
I don’t know, I remember he needed a co writer and I asked him if I could join and he declined by not even checking the email. #sad

You can put auto translated from what google listens to Gabo say but it sucks big time.
Google makes him say “The durango has very soft luxurious skin”

Ew. La Paz for the win.
The review you see was filmed mostly in Santa Fe, La Mexicana Park, and the Mexico City Adolfo Lopez Mateos Ring Road and Bicentenary Ring Road if you want a reference.

even though the interior hasn’t been substantially updated since 2011, it still looks miles better than the Durango it replaced. I mean, which would you rather live with?
This, with soft touch materials, flowing lines, contrasting details?
Or this ocean of hard gray plastic, straight edges and flat surfaces?
being forced to release junk like that was really debilitating after Wolfgang Bernhard swinging the axe on costs.

If he didn’t start out with “This...”, then he’s just a pale imitation.

FCA is hard to judge, I always thought Jeep was a cut above Ford in interior quality, the only dodge I’ve sat in was a Charger (IN THE FRONT!!) and it felt adequate. They make nice interiors!

Shit! he starts with a heartwarming memory of how his parents had an 04 durango and it was the car he learnt how to drive in.
He failed the Demuro test

did you see any of the Daimler-era Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep interiors? e.g. the Caliber, Nitro, Durango, Grand Cherokee, Avenger, Sebring, hell pretty much any of them? They were horrible.
Backstory: at first the Daimler-Chrysler merger seemed to be working, though with some rocky periods. Then some stuff happened, and then Chrysler showed off the ME412 concept:
A rear-mid-engine supercar with a quad turbo Mercedes V12. Seriously, the concept looked like it was ready to go on sale. But that (and the Firepower concept ) pissed off a lot of people in Stuttgart who were deeply offended that those idiots in Auburn Hills would dare to try to play in Mercedes-AMG’s territory. So a mandate was handed down (and delivered by Wolfgang Bernhard) for massive cost cutting at the Chrysler group, part of which was taking 40% of the cost out of Chrysler group interiors.
Forty. Percent.
So that led to garbage like this:
Dodge Caliber:
Dodge Avenger:
Chrysler Sebring:
Jeep Compass:
Grand Cherokee:
and so on. all depressing piles of creaky hard plastic.
if you’ve never had to spend time with any of these things, consider yourself lucky.

Yeah, never got to touch a pre FCA product but it does look bad. We did have the old town and country but it had a tv in the back and that’s all I cared about.

one of the most disheartening things about being an engineer is when you have the right solution to the stated problem, and those above you say they won’t pay for the right solution.

Yup, that killed it.
